The House Of Wax (CD) 
The Story of the Gramophone Company and EMI, Which celebrated it's 90th Birtday in 1988, featured in two one-hour specials broadcast on BBC Radio One In November.

Narrated by Cliff Richardm who himself celebrated 30 years with EMI in 1988, the programme traced the History of our company from it's beginnings in April 1898 as the Gramophome Company through to the very lates 1988 EMI releases. Titled "The House Of Wax" - a term

used by George Harrison to describe EMI's Manchester square offices - the programmes were broadcast on Saturday 19th November and Saturday 26th November.

The first programme covered the company's growth and development from 1898 up to the arrival of Mersey Beat and the Beatles in 1962 and part two highlighted the company's artists and music up to the present day. In addition to Cliff's narration EMI artist Paul McCartney,Tina Turner,The Pet Shop Boys, David Gilmour,Kate Bush and Richard Marx, together with The Shadows' Bruce Welch, Ken Townsend and Producers Micky Most,Norman Smith, Wally Ridley and Pete Waterman also feature in the programmes.
